<\/a>THE AUCTIONEERS RULES<\/a>\n<\/p>\n

G.N. No. 20 of 1929\n<\/p>\n

    1.<\/b> These Rules may be cited as the Auctioneers Rules.\n<\/p>\n

    2. <\/b>Every application for a licence under the Auctioneers Act function a1(msg) { myWindow=window.open(”,”,’width=164,height=74,left=400 ,scrollbars=1,top=400,screenX=400,screenY=100′);myWindow.document.write(msg);}*<\/a> shall be in Form A in the Schedule hereto.\n<\/p>\n

    3.<\/b> Every auctioneer shall keep in his usual place of business, or if he has no such place, in the place where he holds an auction, a record which will furnish the information specified in Form B in the Schedule hereto of all properties entrusted or offered to him for sale by auction during the period of the licence:\n<\/p>\n

    Provided that if the auctioneer is a native, the record will furnish the information specified in Form C in the Schedule hereto.\n<\/p>\n

    4. <\/b>All records kept by an auctioneer shall be open to inspection by any Administrative Officer or any Police Officer not lower than the rank of Sub-Inspector.\n<\/p>\n

    5.<\/b> Any person contravening any of these Rules shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding seven hundred and fifty shillings and his licence may also be suspended or revoked.\n<\/p>\n

A General Licence authorises the holder to practise as an auctioneer under the Auctioneers Act in any district in Tanzania.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

A Local Licence authorises the holder to practise as an auctioneer only in the district for which it is issued.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\n

Payment of the fee at the time of application does not imply that a licence will necessarily be issued and it does not authorise the applicant to practise as an auctioneer.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
